When you are trying to decide what kind of skateboard ramp to buy, there are a lot of choices.

The biggest thing when it comes to skateboard ramps is to focus on what is appropriate for your skill level.  You want a ramp that is challenging, but is one that you can master.

Also, be sure to look at durability and quality.  Hard plastic ramps are fantastic for both beginners and more advanced skaters.  If you want to build a ramp yourself or want a bigger ramp, wood is the material of choice.

You can also build your own ramps, which if you are handy can be a fun and rewarding project.  They don't have to be super complicated, just be sure that you start with a good set of skateboard ramp plans, so that you know what you are doing when you are building out your ramp.
